Any ideas folks? seeing as we're all belonging to other nations it would be quite useful that we could all chip in and maybe have a system that could all integrate with each other intermicronationally.

Well, first I would like it if we fix how much money we have in the economy and how much money is in circulation and can be used to buy goods and services. For example, say we set the maximum limit of money at 1 Billion, this means, if we add up the government budget, private savings accounts, public accounts, business accounts and the money in peoples' wallets and pockets etc... that it total up to no more than 1 Billion. This prevents money from being pulled out of the air and also allows all goods/services to have a value as money will be in demand as opposed to plentiful. Therefore, I propose that wages (if any) be salary based and not based upon posts. So, given the Government will be the source of the inital money, if you work for the government, e.g. helping build up the nation, you get paid, the more you do the more you get paid and the more buying power you have. Thus the government gets things done and the person gets to buy goods/services (which will develop later). Also as the government's budget will be fixed it means we will only have a set amount of money to spend on paying people and buying goods/services, so in order to avoid a deficit a tax will be applied to the citizens and the money goes back into the government, creating in effect a flow of money which is fixed in value and number and cannot be produced out of thin air.

sounds good salaries seem the best way. Systems reliant on posts just breed unnecessary posting, and I'm very anti forced posting, I'm happier for someone to devise something brilliant (like this) and leave no posts for a couple of days than whipping someone into talking about the weather Doesn't Ocia have the same system? we could brew up some companies here and have some trading between them, be nice to have an Ocian architectural triumph in our midst

Ocia has a similar, but not the same system, as this system will be built upon the errors and difficulties in the Ocian System and altered & adapted to be apt and workable in the current Tuatha Aontaithe, mainly that given the lack of businesses and trading at the moment, there is no real circulation of money or anywhere to spend it. So, what we all should do is in our own nations, encourage, by whatever means, companies to move here or start our own, this will then lead to a stock exchange and shops (e.g. where you can spend your money) and start a flow of cash.
But first things first, is we need to establish a central bank, put a tax system and rate into effect, put someone in charge of the Budget and Money for the Nation and setup some form of business and trading platform and laws. Once this is all in place the economy will be opened to trade etc...

I dare say you have a concise vision of what we can achieve here, so would you desire to be in charge of our bank, Ó Dearbháin?

I would be honoured to look after the bank and get things moving on the economic front as well as getting the foundations laid for some business and stock exchange proposals and regulations. I should have a plan of action on this very soon, so watch this space!

It looks good, from what I can see we have 50%, Natural Gas & 100% Semiprecious Stones. Now if we export the surplus of our requirements from these resources, we can bring in some revenue to the Tuatha Aontaithe, which will not be pulled from the air and we can spen this money on development and projects. Also, with any imported goods, we could impose a Customs Duty Tax of approx. 10%-20%, depening on the value and demand of the goods, which will also bring in extra revenue to the government which will also be a determinable figure which would not be pulled out of the air and can be included in the Government's Budget.
I am in the process of writing up a basic outline of the Bank of TA and should have that online by sometime tomorrow.

Fantastic work, when i have some spare minutes I'll start working on some private and/or state owned companies. I'm looking into airways with Hamland and maybe banking like Trinovantium
