What should we call ourselves? temporarily we are 'Ríochta Aontaithe' (united Kingdom) but with a name so similar to the macronation, i suggest we change it. Something like 'Cónaidhme Oileáin Gaelach' (federation of Gaelic Islands)

Gaelachta sounds good. Gaelic Isles works as well.

Well given in history Ireland (at least) was organized into a number of petty kingdoms, or clans (tuatha), each of which was quite independent under its elected king. Groups of tuatha tended to combine, but the king who claimed overlordship in each group had a primacy of honour rather than of jurisdiction. So I think that the name "Tuatha Aontaithe" or "United Clans/Kingdoms, would be a nice name!

Agreed, it's a lot better than what we have now, and in feeling as to what we are and want to achieve.
